Transport businesses in Southern Africa run on thin margins and a lot of moving parts: horses and trailers, drivers on long routes, borders, fuel bought in more than one currency, tyres that cost as much as a month's profit on a truck, and workshops working through breakdowns at the same time as scheduled services.
Generic accounting packages don't understand any of that, and standalone tracking or spreadsheet tools each see only one piece of it. Gonyeti was built to put the whole operation on one connected record, so that the cost of a litre of diesel, a tyre or a repair is attached to the truck and the trip it belongs to.
