Vehicle Tracking Integration

Bring your GPS tracking data into your fleet system

Tracking tells you where a truck is. Gonyeti tells you what it is carrying, for whom, at what rate and at what cost. Integrating the two puts position data in operational context.

How GPS tracking and fleet management software work together

A tracking platform records where a vehicle is and how it is driven. A fleet management system records what the vehicle is, what it is doing and what it costs. On their own, each answers half the question.

Gonyeti does not sell tracking hardware. It connects to tracking providers you already use, matches their units to your Gonyeti fleet and brings their data in. Read how GPS tracking integrates with fleet software.

The problem

The gap between tracking and operations

Two screens, no link

Controllers watch the tracking map in one window and the trip sheet in another.

Unit names don't match

The tracking platform knows a unit by its device name; the office knows it by fleet number.

Positions without a load

A dot on a map doesn't say which trip, customer or driver it relates to.

Mileage disagreements

Odometer readings typed by drivers differ from what the tracker recorded.

How Gonyeti solves it

Matched units, positions in context

Gonyeti connects to a supported provider using the credentials for your account. Tracked units are matched to Gonyeti vehicles, so data lands on the right horse or vehicle.

Depending on the provider, Gonyeti retrieves vehicle and fleet snapshots or receives positions pushed from the tracking platform, and logs asset positions over time. Trip positions and locations can then be viewed with the trip, driver and customer.

  • Connections configured per company
  • Tracked units matched to fleet vehicles
  • Positions logged against assets
  • Integration logs for troubleshooting

Why it matters

Why integrate tracking

Context for every position

Know not just where a truck is, but which load it is carrying.

Less retyping

Vehicle data comes from the tracker, not from manual entry.

Keep your provider

No need to change tracking hardware to adopt Gonyeti.

One place to look

Operations, fleet and finance work from the same screen.
